I'm still here!

Eyup Witches! I’ve been a bit quieter in here lately, not because I’ve wandered off, or gotten distracted, but because things have been gently happening behind the scenes.*

I’m in one of those liminal in-between phases where ideas are becoming real-world things. Dates are being pencilled in. Spaces are being found. The next chapter is starting to take shape.

A few bits that are already live to book:

  • 31st January - Institute of Witches meet-up in West Yorkshire

  • 1st February - Moon Art Workshop in South Yorkshire

And a couple that are coming very soon:

It’s the Wolf Moon tonight.

First full moon of the year.

I’ve been thinking about why wolves howl. They’re just communicating.

Calling out. Saying “I’m here. Where are you?”

A lot of my work is like that too. Colour. Feelings. Creativity. Being honest about being human.

And building community spaces where people don’t feel like the odd one out for feeling deeply or seeing the world that bit differently. Whether you crave to be part of the pack or a lone wolf, you're welcome here.

So if you’re new here, or you’ve been hovering quietly in the background, here’s where you’ll find me:

Currently decluttering.

Christmas decorations = easy.

Old memories you didn’t expect to find = not so easy.

Wrote about it. Obviously!

Read it here!

New Year’s Eve ~ 31st December

We’ve made it to the last day of 2025.

Traditionally, we’re still in the Year of the Snake until mid-February, so we’re not quite galloping into Horse energy yet. We’re still in the territory of shedding skin. Letting go of what doesn’t fit anymore. Stepping out of old stories and realising we’re not the same person we were this time last year.

That’s been true for me in a very real, human way.

We started “Dry January” last year, and sort of… never stopped. When we looked at it properly, we worked out we’ve been about 96% sober this year, and it’s been one of the best quiet decisions we’ve ever made.

Not dramatic. Not performative. Just clearer. Calmer. More present. More us.

And now we’re here. New Year’s Eve - ready to welcome in 2026 (nursing a stinking cold)

This resonates with me too. I still feel I'm shedding lots of things that don't fit and it's been a challenging few weeks. But I can see light at the end of it and welcome the changes ahead. 🤗

Giving up the booze 2 years ago, has been the best thing I ever did. I have more clarity, time, energy and effort for other more meaningful things. And this has brought massive changes and positivity along with it.

Wishing you all, the very best for 2026.

Magickal Monday ~ The last Monday of 2025

We’ve made it. The final Monday before the year comes to a close and a new one begins.

Rather than racing to the finish line, I’m choosing to relax into this week.

If you’ve been curious about The Colour Journey, I’m finally bringing it online so you can try it from home. At 6pm on Thursday 1st January 2026 (book here https://www.raychel.co.uk/events/the-colour-journey-online ) Think of it as a calm pause… a space to relax, wrap up in a blanket, and gently step through the colours together. A guided journey to help you reconnect with yourself.

  • You don’t need anything special to take part.

  • You can join with or without the Journal.

  • You can have your camera off.

COLOUR WITCH’S ADVENT ~ WHITE ~ 24th December

Calm. Serenity. Equanimity The White Lighthouse.

White isn’t about doing more. It’s about just being.

After everything we’ve moved through this month, white arrives quietly. It doesn’t ask for reflection, release, action, or insight. It asks for stillness. For trust. For letting things be exactly as they are.

Today’s practice is simple, and it might be the hardest one of all.

Stop.

Not forever. Just for a little while.

A new space around the fire...

I wanted to let you know about something I’m starting, gently, alongside the Coven.

It’s called the Institute of Witches.

It’s not a replacement for the Coven, and it’s not me shifting direction.

It’s more like creating a hearth and inviting people around it.

For a while now, I’ve had the same nudge from my spirit guides, repeated again and again: 'go smaller.'

Less noise. Fewer people. More real connection.

COLOUR WITCH’S ADVENT ~ MAGENTA ~ 22nd December

Understanding, Wisdom, Magic

Magenta is about understanding. Not simple comprehension, but the deeper kind that comes from experience, dreams, and letting life move through you.

In my system, Magenta is symbolised by the river. Sometimes fast and powerful, sometimes slow and meandering. It doesn’t apologise for either. It doesn’t panic when it twists and turns. And it never gets lost.

The river might change pace, change direction, even disappear underground for a while, but it always knows where it’s going. It flows towards the ocean. And when it reaches it, it doesn’t vanish. It becomes it.

That’s Magenta.

This is the colour of wisdom that comes from living, not forcing. Understanding, that arrives when you stop trying to control everything and start paying attention. It’s the place where dreams, intuition, and lived experience begin to make sense together - finally.

COLOUR WITCH’S ADVENT ~ VIOLET ~ 20th December

Violet Lake. Knowing. Contentment. Grace.

Violet is the point where you stop chasing answers and start trusting what you already know. Not knowing in a logical, tick-box way, but that deeper sense of “I’m here, I’m part of this, and I don’t need to panic”.

Violet Lake is where things settle in my colour system.

It’s the place where you remember your place in the universe, dropping the ego. You realise you’re small in the grand scheme of things, but you still matter.

This is also the point just before the solstice, and you might have seen people talking about a “quantum shift” around now. I’m not into big dramatic claims, but I do recognise what people are talking about. The Violet Lake often feels like a quiet recalibration rather than anything flashy. Nothing suddenly changes, but something settles. Perspective shifts. You stop panicking about not knowing what comes next.…
