COLOUR WITCH'S ADVENT ~ CORAL ~ 4th December

The Cold Moon. The Last Supermoon. The Awakening.

Tonight's full moon is the final supermoon of 2025, rising higher in the sky than any other moon this year - and the highest we'll see until 2042. She's called the Cold Moon, and she's in Gemini, the sign of stories, communication, and clarity.

This moon isn't asking us to do more. She's asking us to see more.

Coral is the colour of awakening - not the loud, frantic alarm-clock kind, but the quiet one that creeps in when you're finally ready to take notice. It's the colour of consciousness rising, of purpose clicking into place. Realising you've perhaps been telling yourself a story that no longer quite fits. Question it!

This moon, with all her brightness and height, is fully lighting up what's been half-hidden. What we've been almost seeing but not quite giving a name to. She's finishing something off - closing out the year, wrapping up a cycle - and Coral is here to help us meet that with an open mind.

What Coral Means:

Coral doesn't shout. It whispers: you're allowed to change your mind. You're allowed to outgrow the version of yourself you were last year. You're allowed to want something different now.

It's the colour that sits between the chaos of the black ocean and the safety of the red house. The coral beach at daybreak, wakes you up without startling you. It reminds you that change doesn't have to be complicated and messy.

A Ritual for the Cold Moon:

So tonight, as the moon rises, find a candle (coral if you've got one, if not, white). Light it and just sit with it for a moment - breathe gently - be mindful.

Let the light from the candle warm you like a new dawn.

Write down one story you've been telling yourself this year - about who you are, what you can do, what you're allowed to want. It doesn't have to be dramatic. It could be small.

Start with something like: I'm not the kind of person who… or I'll never be able to… or I have to keep doing this because…

Read it back to yourself. Out loud if you can.

Then ask: is this still true?

If the answer is no, tear the paper up. Let it go. Burn it if you can (safely) You don't have to replace it with a new story yet - just make some breathing space - declutter.

If the answer is yes, fold it carefully and keep it somewhere safe. Some stories are worth keeping, even if they're difficult.

Blow out the candle. Thank the moon for her resilience. Thank Coral for her gentleness. Thank yourself for showing up. See you on Saturday The Colour Witch xx
