COLOUR WITCH'S ADVENT ~ YELLOW ~ 12th December
The Yellow Bridge. The 12/12 Portal. The Crossing.
The tenth of December was heavy. Gold asked us to look at what we've been carrying, what we've been told to value, and what we're ready to leave behind (even if we think don’t want to!).
Today, Yellow Bridge says: Now cross and don’t look back.
Yellow is the colour of confidence, optimism, and hope. It's self-belief, it’s freedom, it’s joy.
It's the sunlight breaking through after a storm.
It's the moment you realise you don't have to stay stuck in the place that you've been standing.
The Yellow Bridge is the crossing point. It's the threshold between what was and what's next. Between the toxicity of modern life - the comparison, the noise, the endless demand to be more and do more - and the freedom of knowing what's actually yours.
And today? Today is 12/12. A portal. A gateway. A moment of alignment.
12/12 is about completion and new beginnings wrapped up together.
It's the universe saying: if you're ready to move, now's the time.
So let's move.
The Threshold Ritual
Today, find two rooms in your home or office - it doesn't have to be fancy. A doorway. A threshold.
Stand facing the doorway between the rooms.
One room represents what you're leaving behind. The toxicity. The old beliefs. The version of yourself that didn't know better, yet.
The other room represents what's ahead. The hope. The freedom. The version of yourself who's decided to back themselves.
Stand there for a moment, close your eyes, breathe and really feel it. You're on the bridge. You're at the threshold.
At some point, you will feel a lean, where your body feels ready, then step forward.
Cross into the new room.
Turn around and close the door behind you.
Physically close it. Fully.
Say out loud (or whisper if you're not alone): "I'm leaving that behind. I'm moving forward now."
Then tidy something. Doesn't matter what. A drawer. A shelf. Your desk. Something small. Clean it out. Get rid of what doesn't belong.
