The Moon and the Sisters

I go a whole fortnight without a post (due to my commitments at Whitby - an exciting announcement about that coming soon!) and then two, in 2 days - like buses!

But I just wanted to share with you that there’s something about a sky like this that makes you stop in your tracks. The Moon - huge, low, and glowing - sitting shoulder to shoulder with the Seven Sisters. If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, emotional, or oddly homesick this week, this might explain it. (See the ritual post from yesterday - it's still valid.)

Those sparkles beside the moon that astronomers call the Pleiades are a cluster of young stars in Taurus. But for many of us, it’s more than just a pretty patch of light. It’s a reminder of something familiar we can’t quite put our finger on.

I’ve always felt that tug. The kind that isn’t quite sadness but a deep remembering - a sense that I’ve known this light before, but from a different viewpoint. It’s what is called Hireath: the ache for a place your soul remembers, even if your body’s never been there.

When the Moon moves close to the Seven Sisters, it’s like that ache gets louder. We start to notice what doesn’t quite fit anymore - the jobs, the people, the habits we’ve outgrown. It’s not a bad thing. It’s a sign that we’re waking up to our truth again.

And you don’t have to go chasing the stars to feel it.

Just step outside, take a deep breath, and look up. Ask yourself:

  • What am I craving that feels like home?

  • What am I ready to leave behind so I can rest easier in my skin?

  • How can I bring a bit of that peace down from the stars and into my everyday life?

So whether you see the Pleiades as just a cluster of stars, a celestial family, or a symbol of connection, let this full moon remind you that you’re part of something vast and yet still completely at home in your own patch of earth. My book The Adventures of Rayne-Beau ~ Soul Ranger touches on this, and my next books set for release in May 2026 will dive much deeper into this with The Colour Witch's Spellbook and The Transformation Trail - for adults to discover their inner Path Finder and become a Way Shower. (stay tuned for more of this!)

May you turn your darkness into light, your chaos into calm, and your feelings into your fiercest kind of magic.
