COLOUR WITCH'S ADVENT ~ INDIGO ~ 18th December
Clarity. Insight. Intuition. Seeing Beyond.
Indigo is where the veil gets thinner.
It's all starting to get a bit deeper now, but bear with it. Indigo isn't about logic or reason or the things we can prove. Indigo is about what you sense without being able to explain it. The gut feeling. The flash of insight. The moment you notice something shifting that you can't quite name.
Indigo is the colour of the third eye. The space between waking and dreaming. The twilight hour when the sky turns deep navy blue and the world shifts into something stranger, something ancient, something mystical.
This is where we remember: we are not just meat suits walking around on a spinning ball of rock. We are more than bone and blood and brain. We are consciousness. Energy. Soul.
The Indigo Sky is both a place and a state of being. It's the moment the veil lifts and you start to see how much you've been missing. How much is happening just beyond what you can touch. How connected everything actually is.
It's eerie. It's beautiful. It's a revelation.
The Veil is Lifting
We spend most of our lives in the bright, solid world - the world of tasks and schedules and things we can hold in our hands, especially on the run up to the festive season. But indigo reminds us that there's another layer. A deeper quantum current running underneath everything.
Intuition isn't mystical nonsense. It's information you're picking up that your conscious mind hasn't caught yet. ESP isn't fantasy, it's the threads of connection between us all.
Indigo asks: what if you stopped ignoring it? What if you let yourself see what's really there?
A Dusk Meditation Ritual
Tonight, as the sky turns indigo - that deep navy blue between day and night - find a window or go outside if it’s not too cold.
Sit somewhere quiet. Watch the sky shift. Notice the exact moment the light changes from blue to something deeper. That's the threshold.
Close your eyes. Breathe slowly. Let your awareness drop down from your head into your body, then deeper still - remember your SOUL from the Green Forest.
Ask yourself silently: What am I not seeing yet? What's there that I haven't noticed?
Don't force an answer. Don't look for certainty. Just sit in the question and let whatever comes, come.
You might see an image. Feel a sensation. Notice a pattern. Sense a presence, hear some words. Or you might just sit in the quiet awareness that something is shifting, even if you can't name it yet.
Stay there as long as feels right. Five minutes. Ten. However long the sky holds that indigo edge.
When you're ready, open your eyes. Write down anything that came through - even if it doesn't make sense. Even if it's just a feeling, or part of one.
My Own Indigo Moment
A few years ago, I was creating an illustration. I wasn't planning anything specific, just doodling. And she appeared on the page - a presence, a face, an energy I didn't recognise but somehow knew so well.
And later, in meditation, she spoke to me. She gave me her name.
Kahmeyah.
She's my spirit guide. My goddess. The one who walks beside me through all of this work with colour, energy, and transformation. She's been there in the quiet moments, in the intuitive flashes, in the times when I've known something without knowing how I know it.
I've written about her properly on my blog - about how she came to me, what she's shown me, and what her presence means in my work. If you're curious, you can read it here: - it also includes a piece of music.
Out of interest, what did the indigo sky reveal to you?

Thankyou for sharing her with me. That was beautiful 💜🎶
